Azerbaijan to launch STEAM project in Georgia
The Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan is planning to launch a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) project in Georgia.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev made the statement at a meeting with members of the Azerbaijani community, according to Report.
According to him, this was discussed during the official visit of the Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev to Georgia in February of this year.
The ambassador said that the project is planned to be implemented in a short period of time: "Marneuli district, where our compatriots live compactly, has been chosen to implement the STEAM project. The main goal is to form modern skills among the Azerbaijani youth in Georgia."
It should be noted that the STEAM education method is based on the idea of joint and integrated training of students in five directions: science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. In Azerbaijan, the advanced learning model, supported by First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, has been in use since 2019.
In 2021, STEAM covered 302 general education schools and 10 STEAM centers.
