Azerbaijan tops podium at Aerobic Gymnastics World Cup in China

Azerbaijani athletes delivered a strong performance at the Aerobic Gymnastics World Cup held in Nanjing, China, from June 26 to 29, securing the gold medal in the mixed pairs event.

Citing the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, Azerbaijan was represented by Sara Alikhanli in the individual competition, while Madina Mustafayeva and Vladimir Dolmatov competed in the mixed pairs event, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

In the qualification round, Sara Alikhanli scored 17.900 points, while Madina Mustafayeva and Vladimir Dolmatov earned 18.600 points. Both results secured qualification for the Azerbaijani athletes to the finals.

In the final, the Azerbaijani mixed pair delivered a winning performance, scoring 19.100 points to surpass their rivals and clinch the gold medal. In the individual event, Sara Alikhanli scored 18.050 points, finishing in sixth place.
