Azerbaijan, Türkiye strengthen military cooperation for regional peace PHOTO
Azerbaijan’s Defence Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, currently on an official visit to Georgia, met with Turkish National Defence Minister Yashar Guler in Batumi.
Both ministers highlighted the strong military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, emphasizing the strategic alliance and the enduring bonds of friendship and brotherhood between the two nations, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.
They also stressed the significance of the partnership, as highly valued by Azerbaijani President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, particularly in the area of defence collaboration.
Both Hasanov and Guler reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expressed confidence in the continued success of the Azerbaijani-Turkish partnership, built on mutual trust and support.
During the meeting, they discussed various topics including enhancing joint military exercises, sharing military experience, and addressing regional and global military-political developments. They also explored ways to ensure stability and peace in the region, alongside other key areas of mutual interest.
