Azerbaijan urges Lithuania not to fall for fake Armenian propaganda
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Aykhan Hajizada has tweeted a message urging Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis not to succumb to Armenian fake Armenian propaganda regarding the blockage of the Lachin road.
“Mr. Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis, it is better not to be deceived by false Armenian propaganda. The Lachin road has been misused by Armenia for the last 3 years. Unfortunately, all these years Lithuania has demonstrated silence,” Hajizada responded to the tweet posted by Landsbergis, Caliber.Az reports.
Earlier, the Lithuanian FM wrote on Twitter that I "spoke with [Armenian Foreign Minister] @AraratMirzoyan, expressed concern about the dire humanitarian consequences of the blocking of the Lachin corridor. Crucial to ensure unimpeded movement as ordered by ICJ [The International Court of Justice]. Reiterated firm belief in the absolute necessity of working towards comprehensive & lasting peace".
According to recent video footage, another group of ethnic Armenians from Azerbaijan’s Karabakh region passed freely through the Lachin border checkpoint.
After going through the required procedure, they passed freely through the checkpoint. The video clips once again testify to the absence of any obstacles or difficulties in the passage of the Karabakh Armenians through the Lachin border checkpoint.
