Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan deepen strategic partnership Nine documents signed
The signing ceremony of the Azerbaijani-Uzbek documents was held with the participation of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev following the meeting in an expanded format on June 21 in Tashkent.
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Declaration on deepening the strategic partnership and expanding comprehensive cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the official website of Azerbaijan’s President.
The memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan was signed by the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Azerbaijan Sahil Babayev and the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations of Uzbekistan Nozim Khusanov.
The Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan was signed by the Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan Rashad Nabiyev and the Minister of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan Ibrahim Abdurakhmanov.
"Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the plant protection and quarantine" was signed by the Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Inam Karimov and the Director General of the Agency for Quarantine and Plant Protection of Uzbekistan Ibrahim Irgashev.
"Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the industrial property protection" was signed by the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov and the Minister of Justice of Uzbekistan Ruslanbek Davletov.
The “Agreement on international road links between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was signed by the Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan Rashad Nabiyev and the Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Makhkamov.
"Agreement on cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the military sphere" and "Agreement on military-technical cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan" were signed by the Minister of Defence of Azerbaijan Zakir Hasanov and the Minister of Defence of Uzbekistan Bakhodir Kurbanov.
"Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the fight against illegal migration" and "Program of cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022-2024" were signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov.
"Agreement on cooperation in the industrial sector between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan" and "Agreement on interregional cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan" were signed by the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov and Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov.

Following the expanded meeting in Tashkent, a ceremony of signing Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan documents have been held in the presence of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The documents were signed as part of President Aliyev's visit to Uzbekistan on June 21, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani president's press service.
