Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan forge stronger cultural ties with new initiatives
Director of the Azerbaijan Culture Centre named after Heydar Aliyev in Uzbekistan Akif Marifli and Rector of Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies Gulchehra Rikhsieva have discussed ongoing joint projects.
Rikhsieva highlighted the longstanding and fruitful cooperation between the two institutions and discussed ongoing joint projects aimed at strengthening relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
While addressing the students' interest in Azerbaijani culture and literature, the rector noted the successful continuation of Azerbaijani language courses at the Institute of Oriental Studies and expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijan Culture Centre for supporting the initiative.
In response, Marifli emphasised that the centre is committed to implementing the project and regularly contributing essential publications to the Heydar Aliyev Center for Azerbaijani Language established at the university.
At the end of the meeting, the Azerbaijan Culture Centre presented proposals to the University of Oriental Studies for joint book publications, scientific projects, and student exchanges, all of which were well-received by the university leadership.
