“This Dialogue, launched in Baku last year, will provide a platform that ensures water is included as a key part of climate decision-making and that action on water is coordinated between COPs and other international forums,” the statement read.
The 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) is currently taking place in Belém, Brazil, from November 10 to 21, 2025.
Brazil, as the host nation, has positioned COP30 as a turning point from negotiation to concrete action, highlighting the Amazon’s central role in climate protection and the link between environmental policy, Indigenous rights, and climate justice.
The conference aims to accelerate climate finance, adaptation measures, and global cooperation to meet the commitments made under the Paris Agreement.
