Azerbaijan female judokas win six medals at Thuringia Cup in Germany PHOTO

The Thuringia Judo Cup has concluded in Bad Blankenburg, where Azerbaijan’s youth women’s team delivered a strong performance at the international tournament.

According to local media, the competition—held for the 32nd time—saw the Azerbaijani team secure a total of six medals: one gold, one silver, and four bronze.

Sunay Salamova claimed the gold medal in the 40 kg category, while Zahra Guliyeva took silver in the same weight class. Bronze medals were awarded to Parvin Sevkhanli (44 kg), Konul Eyvazli (48 kg), Masuma Mammadli (70 kg), and Zemfira Aliyeva (+70 kg).

For the record, a total of 243 athletes competed in the U-18 category at the tournament, highlighting the scale and competitiveness of the event.
