Azerbaijani boxer advances to Olympic final in Paris

Azerbaijani boxer Alfonso Dominguez has reached the final of the Summer Olympic Games taking place in French Paris.

Dominguez defeated Spain's Emmanuel Reyes Plan in the semifinals, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

The fight was held with the advantage of our boxer. Dominguez won all three rounds, gaining his third consecutive victory in the French capital with the score 4:1 (28:29, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 30:27).

Thus, Dominguez advanced to the final, which will be held on August 9.

Alfonso Dominguez won a bronze medal at the Olympics in Tokyo-2020, becoming the first boxer in the history of Azerbaijan to win two Olympic medals.
