Azerbaijani boxers grab seven medals at international tournament

The Romanian city of Gheorgheni hosted the international junior boxing tournament.

Azerbaijan Boxing Federation told Report the national team has won three gold and four silver medals in the tournament with the participation of 212 athletes from 12 countries.

In the junior team, two boxers won the champion title. In the 54 kg weight category Muhammedali Ashiraliev defeated Florin Caldarara (Romania) 5-0 in the final, while Muhammedali Gasimzade (57 kg) defeated Victorio Iliev 5-0.

Tadzhi Nasibov (50kg) took second place, losing to his opponent in the finals.

Emily Rzayeva (70 kg) was stronger than all her opponents. She defeated Maria Tanasescu (Romania) in the final.

Aysu Ismailova (up to 46 kg), Nermin Alizade (up to 50 kg) and Aynur Mikailova (up to 52 kg) finished the tournament with silver medals.
