Azerbaijani chess team to join third Eurogames

Chess competitions will be held at III European Games in Krakow, Poland.

The tournament will be held on June 19, Report informs, citing the European Chess Union (ECU).

According to the rules, teams consisting of two competitors (one man and one woman) will compete in blitz.

In addition to Azerbaijan, seven other countries will take part in the competition. The teams will be selected based on the rating of the International Chess Federation for classical chess, published on March 1.

According to regulations, teams will compete in a round-robin system. The first four places advance to the playoffs.

The third European Games will take place from June 9 to 25.
