Azerbaijani climber reaches summit of South America’s highest peak PHOTO

Sima Safarova, a rescuer with the Special Emergency Rescue Service of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Emergency Situations, has made a technical ascent of Aconcagua, the highest peak in South America, on the initiative of the Azerbaijan Mountaineering Federation.
The climber, who successfully reached her goal by climbing to an altitude of 6,962 metres, hoisted the flag of the Ministry of Emergency Situations on top of Aconcagua, in addition to the national flag of Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports, citing the ministry.
