Azerbaijani cyclists finish second stage of Tour of Sharjah

The second round of the International Cycling Union (UCI) category 2.2 Tour of Sharjah road cycling competition has wrapped up in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

As Report informs, citing the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation, the athletes were competing in a group relay at a distance of 130.7 km on January 28. The cyclists started from Sharjah University and finished at Al Badayer Oasis.

All six members of Azerbaijan's Elite/U23 men's road cycling team crossed the finish line as part of the leading group.

The competition consisting of five stages will end on January 31. A total of 141 cyclists from 17 countries are taking part in the event which consists of 24 teams.
