Azerbaijani energy minister advances green energy partnership, COP29 goals in Italy PHOTO
Parviz Shahbazov, Azerbaijan's Energy Minister, is currently in Italy where he engaged in detailed discussions with key stakeholders on various aspects of energy transition and collaboration opportunities.
Shahbazov met with Alessandro Bresciani, Senior Vice President for Climate Technology Solutions at Baker Hughes, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.
Discussions encompassed Baker Hughes' activities in energy transition, collaborative efforts with Azerbaijan to enhance production efficiency through new technologies, and strategies for advancing energy transition within COP29.
Additionally, Shahbazov engaged with Alessandra Pasini, co-founder of Zhero and CEO of Zhero Europe, exploring potential collaboration in synthetic natural gas (e-NG) derived from "green hydrogen."
The discussions also touched upon projects like the green energy corridors "Caspian - Black Sea - Europe" and "Central Asia - Azerbaijan - Europe," as well as Azerbaijan's plans for hydrogen production and export.
Pasini expressed interest in cooperating with Azerbaijan in the e-NG sector.
The discussions underscored Azerbaijan's commitment to leveraging innovative technologies and international collaborations to achieve its energy transition goals and contribute effectively to global sustainability efforts under COP29.
