Azerbaijani Finance Ministry, Asian Development Bank hold consultations
The Azerbaijani Finance Ministry and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have held consultations on the current and future spheres of cooperation.
Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov met with Principal Public Management Specialist at the ADB Central and West Asia Department Tariq Niazi, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, Report informs citing the ministry.
The importance of developing a new ADB strategy for Azerbaijan in accordance with the strategies "Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development" and "Strategy for Socio-Economic Development for 2022-2026" was noted at the meeting.
During the meeting, the sides noted the support and technical assistance which is rendered by the ADB to increase Azerbaijan’s macroeconomic stability.
The sides discussed the government's strategic goals in managing the public sector, developing the financial sector and reviewed a future lending programme based on the sustainability of economic development in the country.
