UAE budget carrier increases weekly flights to Azerbaijan and Georgia
Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, the first low-cost carrier based in the UAE capital, has expanded its route network by increasing the number of flights to Baku, Azerbaijan, and Tbilisi, Georgia.
According to a statement from the airline, direct flights between Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport and Baku’s Heydar Aliyev International Airport will now operate six times weekly. Flights are scheduled from Tuesdays through Sundays.
Starting August 7, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi will also raise the frequency of flights to Tbilisi to eight per week, including two flights every Thursday. This enhancement aims to provide more reliable and convenient air connections between Abu Dhabi and the Georgian capital.
Adel Al Ali, Group CEO, said, “The increased flight frequency to Baku and Tbilisi underscores our ongoing commitment to expanding our regional network while offering greater convenience, flexibility, and value to our passengers. Both cities are vibrant destinations popular with UAE residents and visitors alike. This improved schedule will not only strengthen tourism ties but also make travel more accessible and affordable.”
Currently, the airline operates a fleet of 12 Airbus A320 aircraft and plans to add two more by year-end as part of its growth strategy to meet rising passenger demand.
