Azerbaijani FM says Tashkent Declaration testifies to interest in deepening co-op
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has said that the new trilateral format of cooperation between Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan will contribute to the development and promotion of joint projects in various fields and will intensify interaction on regional issues of mutual interest.
The minister made the statement during a press conference following the meeting in the Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan-Türkiye format in Uzbekistan’s capital Tashkent on Aug. 2, Report informs.
“We are exploring opportunities in the field of energy, especially in the field of renewable energy sources,” the minister said, adding that discussions were also held on the development of an international transport corridor.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the situation in Afghanistan.
The minister added that the Tashkent Declaration and the results of the trilateral meeting testify to the interest of all participants in further deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
