Azerbaijani football club adds Israeli midfielder to its team

The "Gabala" football club of Azerbaijan has concluded a new contract with the Israeli midfielder Fares Abu Akel.

From now on, 25-year-old midfielder Fares Abu Akel will play for “Gabala” FC, according to azerisport.com.

The contract was signed with an option to extend it for another year.

Abu Akel's last club was Israel's “Ashdod”.

"Gabala" had previously added Salahat Aghayev, Ilkin Kirtimov and Felipe Santos to its team.
