Azerbaijani foreign minister meets incoming Tajik ambassador

Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has received the newly-appointed Tajik Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Abdurakhmon Ilham Barotzoda.

Issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan were discussed at the meeting, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Foreign Ministry.

Jeyhun Bayramov expressed satisfaction with the dynamics of the development of relations between the two countries based on mutual respect, friendship, and solidarity. The role of high-level reciprocal visits and intensive contacts in the development of relations was emphasized.

The ambassador noted that he would make every effort to further expand ties between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan during his tenure.

Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
