Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler wins 1/8 finals match at Paris Olympics

Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler Osman Nurmagomedov has started fighting at the Summer Olympics in Paris.

The athlete competing in the weight category up to 86 kg met with Mongolia's representative Bat-Erdene Byambasurengiyin in 1/8 finals, Caliber.Az reports.

Having defeated his opponent with a score of 11:2, Nurmagomedov entered the 1/4 finals.

The 2024 Summer Olympics, officially the Games of the 33rd Olympiad and branded as Paris 2024, is an ongoing international multi-sport event taking place from 24 July to 11 August 2024 in France.
