Azerbaijani judoka deliver great achievements in Belgium Updated January 2026 list of top / photo
The first day of Azerbaijan's judoka at a Belgian Open Judo Tournament has brought major successes to our athletes.
Judoka in various weight classes managed to win medals in all three categories on the first competing day of the tournament in the Belgian city of Vise, as reported by local media outlets.
Murad Muradli (60 kg) and Jamal Feyziyev (>100 kg) each managed to secure a gold medal on January 31 at the two-day tournament.
Silver medals were attained by Abil Yusubov (<73 kg) and Zelim Tckaev (<90 kg) while Farid Garayev (60 kg), Kamran Suleymanov (73 kg) and Ramazan Ahmadov (>100kg) finished on the podium with a bronze medal.
Those achievements have been included in the updated scoring list of Azerbaijan's martial arts fighters as of February 1, 2026:
1. Hasrat Jafarov, 480 points (Greco Roman wrestling)
2. Giorgi Meshvildishvili, 460 points (Freestyle wrestling)
3. Zelym Kotsoiev, 430 points (Judo)
4. Ulvu Ganizade, 400 points (Greco Roman wrestling)
5. Eljan Hajiyev, 370 points (Judo)
6+7. Osman Nurmagomedov and Arseniy Dzhioev, each 340 points (Freestyle wrrstling)
8. Zelim Tckaev, 330 points (Judo)
9. Murad Ahmadiyev, 330 points (Greco Roman wrestling)
10. Eldeniz Azizli, 320 points (Greco Roman wrestling)
