Azerbaijani judokas reach mixed team finals at 3rd CIS Games
The Azerbaijani judo team has advanced to the finals of the mixed team competition at the 3rd CIS Games.
The national team defeated Tajikistan 7-3 in the semifinals, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
In the final, Azerbaijan will face the winner of the Russia vs. Uzbekistan matchup.
Azerbaijan continues to host the 3rd CIS Games, with competitions in ten different sports taking place across several cities today., October 5.
The 3rd CIS Games, taking place in Azerbaijan from September 28 to October 8, 2025, is the largest sporting event in the Commonwealth of Independent States. Thirteen countries are participating in the competition, including Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Kuwait, Oman, Pakistan, Armenia, and Turkmenistan, showcasing a range of sports and fostering regional camaraderie among participating nations.
The total number of participants reaches 1,624 athletes competing in 23 sports.
