Azerbaijani judokas to compete at European Judo Championships Juniors Prague 2022

Five Azerbaijani judokas will compete at the European Judo Championships Juniors Prague 2022 in the Czech Republic on September 17.

Azerbaijani judoka Vugar Talibov, who competes in the weight category up to 90 kg, will meet in the 1/16 finals with Maksims Duinovs (Latvia) while another Azerbaijani judoka Ismayil Zamanov in the same weight category with Alex Marushka (Slovakia), Report informs.

Moreover, Azerbaijani judoka Ruslan Nasirli in the weight category up to 100 kg will meet in the 1/8 finals with Hubert Illmer (Austria) while another Azerbaijani judoka Kanan Nasibov in the weight category over 100 kg in the same round with Alin Bagrin (Moldova).

Azerbaijani female judoka Narmin Amirli will compete in the weight category up to 78 kg with Yuli Alma Mishiner (Israel) in the 1/8 finals.

Earlier, Azerbaijani judokas Vusal Galandarzade (73 kg) and Eljan Hajiyev (81 kg) won gold, while Turan Bayramov (60 kg) won silver.
