Azerbaijani karatekas shine at World Kyokushin Championship in Riyadh

Azerbaijani karate athletes delivered strong performances at the Kyokushin World Federation (KWF) World Championship held in Riyadh.

The national team secured five medals across various age and weight categories, according to İdman.Biz.

Gold medals were claimed by Javid Kazymly (16–17 years, over 80 kg) and Seljan Babayeva (over 60 kg). Rahman Yusubov won silver in the 14–15 age group up to 75 kg, while Vagif Bendaliyev (16–17 years, 70 kg) and Togrul Orudzhov (12–13 years, 60 kg) took bronze.

The Azerbaijani karatekas competed in both individual and team events, showcasing the country’s growing strength in the sport.
