Azerbaijani, Kazakhstan's FMs eye regional trade, global security
Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held an extended meeting with his Kazakh counterpart, Yermek Kosherbayev, durting his official viist to Baku on April 8, reaffirming the two countries’ strong strategic partnership.
According to a statement from Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry on X, the ministers highlighted growing cooperation across multiple sectors, including the economy, trade, energy, industry, agriculture, transport, logistics, technology, and digital innovation, Caliber.Az reports.

Both officials emphasised the strategic importance of the Middle Corridor in enhancing Europe-Asia trade and discussed joint projects aimed at developing transit infrastructure and boosting regional connectivity.
The ministers also addressed tensions in the Middle East, expressing hope that the recently agreed ceasefire will bring stability and peace to the region. Broader regional and global security challenges were also part of the discussions.
Minister Bayramov briefed his Kazakh counterpart on ongoing efforts in the normalisation and peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, underscoring Baku’s commitment to regional stability.
