Azerbaijani kickboxers grab one more gold at Islamic Solidarity Games in Türkiye
Azerbaijani kickboxers have won the third gold medal at the fifth Islamic Solidarity Games in Türkiye’s Konya city.
World champion Anar Mammadov (low kick category, 57 kg) became the winner of the Islamic Solidarity Games, gaining a victory over Turkish athlete Hatip Emlek in the final, Report informs citing the Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation.
Earlier, kickboxer Farid Aghamoglanov (full contact category, 63.5 kg) won the fifth Islamic Solidarity Games. He gained a victory over Morocco’s athlete Hichou Khalfaoui Oussama in the final.
Another world champion Ramal Aslanov (low kick category, 75 kg) lost in the final to Turkish kickboxer Unal Alkayis.
Azerbaijani athlete Sagi Salekhli (full contact category, 75 kg) lost in the final to Uzbek athlete Makhmud Salekhov and grabbed silver.
Another Azerbaijani athlete Elvin Aghayev (full contact category, 86 kg) will compete in the final on August 18.
