Azerbaijani kickboxers set record at world championship

Azerbaijan's kickboxing team has set a record at the World Championship held in Portugal's Albufeira.

The athletes won 13 medals (6 gold, 1 silver and 6 bronze) at the competition, Report informs.

Thus, Subhan Mammadov, Elvin Mammadov, Amin Guliyev, Surat Garayev won all the fights and reached the top step of the podium.

Orkhan Malikov took silver, and Eljan Alkishiyev, Rauf Gerayzade, Farid Agamoglanov, Allahverdi Demirov, Ramiz Mammadov and Gasham Mammadov took third place.

Another Azerbaijani athlete Eduard Mammadov, who performed in the age category of veterans, won 2 gold medals.

It should be noted that 1,369 athletes from 70 countries took part in the World Cup.
