Azerbaijani military medical personnel receives award for humanitarian mission in Türkiye PHOTO
The military medical personnel of the Azerbaijani army, sent to Türkiye to provide medical assistance to the victims of the earthquake, was awarded the order of the Ministry of Defence.
As Caliber.Az was informed by the ministry, on March 29, a ceremony awarding military personnel was held at the ministry's Main Clinical Hospital.
A total of 20 servicemen of the Azerbaijani army were awarded military ranks, medals and diplomas.
The head of the medical department, Major General of the Medical Service Firudin Nabiyev, noted that the work of our medical personnel, dispatched to Türkiye on the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, was highly appreciated in the brotherly country.
It was noted that the military medical personnel of the Azerbaijani army, in cooperation with representatives of the Ministry of Health and the Turkish Armed Forces, performed a total of 81 surgical operations in Kahramanmarash and provided outpatient care to 517 people.
