Azerbaijani minister, Egyptian envoy exchange views on cultural ties
Azerbaijani Minister of Culture Anar Karimov met with Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Azerbaijan Hisham Mohamed Nagy Abdel Hamid on September 1.
The views on cultural ties between the two countries and the planned projects were exchanged at the meeting, Caliber.Az reports referring to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture.
Karimov noted that bilateral relations with the Arab Republic of Egypt are developing well.
The minister of culture also informed about the "Baku process", which was launched in 2008 at the initiative of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to create an effective and efficient intercultural and intercivilisational dialogue.
He noted that the "Baku process" is already perceived by authoritative international organisations, including the UN, as a global platform.
Ambassador Hisham Mohamed Nagy Abdel Hamid thanked the minister for the warm welcome. The diplomat expressed gratification with the involvement of the embassy in projects and initiatives being implemented by the ministry.
Then the sides exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
