Kazakhstan welcomes Azerbaijani PM for critical economic, digital talks
On January 30, Ali Asadov, the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, arrived in Almaty, Kazakhstan at the invitation of Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
The Azerbaijani leader was welcomed at Almaty International Airport by Galymzhan Koishybayev, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Government Apparatus of Kazakhstan, alongside other officials, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
During his visit, Prime Minister Asadov is scheduled to deliver a speech at the "Digital Almaty 2025" international digital forum. He will also participate in a session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council as a guest.
Thus, the Digital Almaty 2025 forum, set for January 31 to February 1, will bring together prime ministers from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries, along with officials from Azerbaijan, Iran, and the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The event will feature the Digital Awards 2025, AI startup battles with a $60,000 prize fund, and the FIRST Tech Challenge robotics competition. A virtual exhibition and startup showcase will also be introduced.
Dealroom.co CEO Yoram Wijngaarde will provide insights into Kazakhstan’s tech ecosystem, marking the firm's first engagement in the country.
Organizers expect over 40,000 attendees at the privately funded forum.
