Ankara hosts Türkiye-Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan talks to enhance economic, transport links

The second meeting of the Türkiye-Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan trilateral mechanism has officially begun in Ankara, bringing together high-ranking officials from the three nations.

Attendees include the foreign ministers, as well as ministers for trade, economy, and transport, who are set to engage in comprehensive talks aimed at strengthening bilateral and regional relations, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan delivered the opening speech at the meeting as the host country.

The primary focus of the discussions includes the advancement of foreign policy coordination, as well as the enhancement of trade, economic ties, and investment opportunities.

Additionally, there will be a concentrated effort on improving regional transport connectivity and fostering deeper collaboration in the transport and communications sectors.

Following the event, it is anticipated that the parties will sign the Ankara Declaration and adopt a joint Action Plan for the forthcoming period.

A roadmap for the implementation of this Action Plan will also be agreed upon.
