Azerbaijani Navy showcases skills in Pakistan’s AMAN-25 military exercise PHOTO
The Azerbaijani Navy is actively participating in the multinational maritime exercises “AMAN-25” and the associated “AMAN” dialogue, taking place in the city of Karachi, Pakistan.
This participation was confirmed by the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan, per Caliber.Az.
Azerbaijan’s delegation is led by First Deputy Commander of the Navy and Chief of Staff, Captain 1st Rank Teymur Murshudov, who is attending the inaugural "AMAN" dialogue.
This event gathers naval commanders, chiefs of staff, Coast Guard commanders, and senior maritime leaders from across the globe. The dialogue serves as a platform for discussing regional maritime security challenges and formulating collaborative strategies to address maritime threats.
The Azerbaijani Navy is also actively involved in the 9th edition of the "AMAN-25" multinational exercise, which includes both port and sea phases.
Azerbaijan’s six-member underwater assault and defence teams are engaged in performing a range of tasks according to the approved exercise plan.
The AMAN-25 exercise is being conducted under the motto "Unity for Peace" and has attracted participants from 60 countries. These include naval ships, aircraft, special forces, explosives disposal teams, marines, and observers.
The exercise, which focuses on enhancing peace and security and fostering coordinated actions against terrorism, will run through February 11, 2025.
