Azerbaijani Ombudsperson Sabina Aliyeva has said that international organisations must urge Armenia to stop armed provocations.
Aliyeva made these remarks due to the recent armed provocations of Armenia, Report informs.
"International organisations must urge Armenia to stop armed provocations that threaten peace negotiations, as well as the life and health of military personnel. The Armenian leadership still does not abandon its hostile policy. The new opportunities for peace have emerged in the region. So, the Armenian leadership must stop committing provocations increasing tension and must take real steps towards achieving peace,” the statement said.
The Armenian Armed Forces fired at the positions of troops of the Azerbaijani State Border Service in the direction of the Kollugishlak village in the Zangilan district on February 12, as a result of which Azerbaijani serviceman Parviz Khalilzade was wounded.
