Azerbaijani para-athlete bags next gold at World Championships

Azerbaijani para-athlete Lamiya Veliyeva has won another gold at the World Championships in Paris, France.

According to Oxu.Az, Valiyeva outshone all her rivals in the 400-metre sprint, running the distance in 55.34 seconds.

Earlier, the 21-year-old athlete won gold in the 100-metre race.

Recall that during the Tokyo 2020 Summer Paralympic Games, the Azerbaijani athlete took second place in the 100-metre run and became the first in the 400-metre category.

Moreover, with successful performances at the World Championships in Paris, members of the Azerbaijani national team Orkhan Aslanov, Olokhan Musayev, and Said Najafzade won a license to participate in the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games.
