Azerbaijani Parliament adopts draft law regarding confiscation of terrorists' property

The Parliament of Azerbaijan has adopted a draft law that envisages channelling the property of terrorists for compensation of damage to the state.

The property of persons who have committed terrorism, financing of terrorism, offenses against the foundations of the constitutional order of the state, and security will be channelled to compensate the damage to the victims and the state through special confiscation in cases stipulated by law, the proposed amendment to the Code of Criminal Procedure, which was submitted for discussion at Milli Majlis session envisages, APA reports.

The draft law was put to a vote and adopted in the first reading at Milli Majlis session.
