Azerbaijani police uncover significant weapons cache in Khankendi
Azerbaijani police officers have uncovered a significant cache of weapons and ammunition in the city of Khankendi as part of ongoing security operations.
Between July 26 and August 2, the following items were found and seized: 60 automatic rifles, 3 machine guns, 21 pistols, 125 hand grenades, 29 rifles, 63 fuses, 91 bayonet knives, a grenade launcher, 48 mines, 71 radios, 34 bomb drones, 190 detonators, 9 TNT bombs, 17 smoke bombs, 27 night vision devices, 2 drones, 2 kilograms of explosives, 126 kilograms of gunpowder, 11 rocket launchers, a silencer, a video camera, a fixed radio station, a loudspeaker, and 74,532 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, Caliber.Az reports, citing the press service of the Interior Ministry.
In addition to the discoveries in Khankendi, the police found a machine gun and 7 hand grenades in the town of Shusha, as well as 2 hand grenades in the Khojaly District (Askaran settlement).
Further searches in the Khojavand District led to the seizure of 6 automatic rifles, 3 shotguns, 35 hand grenades, 6 machine guns, a night vision device, 5 bayonet knives, and 1,175 rounds of ammunition.
