Azerbaijani positions subjected to Armenian fire 30 times along conditional border MoD statement

In a concerning development, Azerbaijani Army positions have come under fire on multiple occasions over the past day, with a total of 30 reported incidents of aggression.

According to official statements, beginning from 21:55 to 23:20 on April 5, Armenian armed forces initiated attacks from various locations including the Musurskend settlement in the Tovuzgala region, as well as Ashaghi Shorzha, Yukhari Shorzha, and Gunashli settlements in the Basarkechar region. Additionally, the fire originated from the Aravus settlement in the Gorus region, Caliber.Az reports citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.

The targets of these attacks were Azerbaijan Army positions situated in the vicinity of the Alibayli settlement in the Tovuz region, the Khoshbulag settlement in Dashkasan, the Yellija and Zaylik settlements in Kalbajar, and the Chaghazur settlement in Lachin.

The frequency and intensity of these assaults underscore the volatility of the situation along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, raising concerns about the potential for further escalation in tensions between the two neighbouring nations.

It is noteworthy that these attacks mark a significant escalation in hostilities, posing a threat to the stability and security of the region. The Azerbaijani Army continues to maintain vigilance and readiness to defend its positions in the face of such provocations.
