Azerbaijani serviceman killed as result of sniper fire by Armenia

Azerbaijani Army serviceman Orujov Vusal Kheybali was killed due to sniper fire by the Armenian side, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry reported.

"At noon on September 30, the Armenian armed forces from the positions in the direction of the Zarkand settlement of the Basarkechar region using sniper rifles opened fire on the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the direction of the Ashaghi Ayrim settlement of the Kalbajar region," Caliber.Az quotes the ministry as saying.

The Azerbaijan Army Units are taking retaliatory measures, the ministry added.

The leadership of the ministry expressed its deepest condolences to the relatives of the killed serviceman.
