Azerbaijan, UAE discuss expanding strategic partnership in media

Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates discussed ways to further advance their strategic partnership, including cooperation in media and communications, during talks between senior officials, Azerbaijani presidential aide Hikmet Hajiyev said.

Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, said he held “fruitful discussions” with Dr. Abdulla M. Alhamed, Chairman of the UAE’s National Media Authority, Caliber.Az reports.

The talks focused on strengthening Azerbaijan–UAE cooperation in the media and communications field, in line with the vision and guidance of the two countries’ presidents, Hajiyev wrote on X.

“I greatly valued our fruitful discussions on further advancing Azerbaijan–UAE strategic partnership, including in the media and communications field, in line with the guidance and vision of our Presidents,” Hajiyev said.

He also thanked Alhamed for inviting him to the Arab Media Forum and congratulated him on organising the event, describing it as an important gathering held “at the highest level.”
