Azerbaijani special forces climb Gapidzhig peak in Nakhchivan VIDEO

Azerbaijani Separate Combined Arms Army’s special forces climbed the highest point of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic - Gapidzhig peak in the Ordubad district.

The servicemen, who climbed to a height of 3,905 meters, paid tribute to the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs, hoisted Azerbaijan’s tricolour flag and sang the national anthem, Caliber.Az reports per the Defence Ministry.

In conclusion, the special forces fixed a memorial plaque dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great leader Heydar Aliyev on the top.
