Azerbaijani, Turkish, Georgian servicemen conduct joint drills PHOTO

The Azerbaijani, Turkish and Georgian servicemen have conducted joint military drills to protect the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.

Georgian Interior Ministry's personnel from the Department for the Protection of Strategic Pipelines participated in the command and staff exercise "ETERNITY 2022" of the Azerbaijani, Georgian and Turkish military personnel, APA reported via the Georgian Interior Ministry.

The exercise is aimed at increasing mutual operational capability between the military forces, as well as law enforcement officers of Georgia, Turkiye and Azerbaijan, the report said.

It stressed that the employees of the operational response unit of the structure were also involved in the exercise.

According to the information, the scenario of the exercise was based on carrying out a peacekeeping operation involving the organization of protection of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline during a crisis situation.

It was noted that the task was executed successfully and was positively assessed by the participants.
