Azerbaijani, Turkish universities forge academic partnership with new cooperation protocol
A cooperation agreement has been signed online between the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) and Türkiye's Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University.
The protocol outlines the plans for joint scientific, educational, and research activities, AIT told Report, Caliber.Az informs.
The protocol was signed by AIT Rector Agil Shirinov and Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University Rector Akın Levent.
The document also covers issues related to the organisation of joint undergraduate and master's programmes in agreed-upon fields, as well as the implementation of dual degree programmes.
The Faculty of Theology at Baku State University was instrumental in the creation of the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology. The institute was founded through an agreement between the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Baku State University, and the Turkey Diyanet Foundation during the 1992-1993 academic year. It operated under Baku State University until 2017.
Türkiye's Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University’s mission is to introduce the presence of the university in the international arena, to bring the academic, cultural, and social perspectives of the university members to an international level, and to participate in innovative and contemporary practices around the globe.
