Azerbaijani weightlifter breaks record to win European Championship

Azerbaijani weightlifter Ravin Almammadov has won the European Championship among juniors 15-17, held in the Polish city of Raszyn.

Almammadov, 67 kg weight class athlete, lifted 126 kg on snatch and 158 kg on jerk, Report says.

The Azerbaijani weightlifter won the gold medal in total (284 kg), beating all his opponents.

His result is a new European record among juniors.
