Azerbaijani weightlifters win more medals at international tournament

Another Azerbaijani weightlifter has won a medal at the "International Naim Suleymanoglu Weightlifting Tournament" in Türkiye’s capital, Ankara.

Tehran Mammadov, who is competing in the weight category up to 67 kg, lifted 126 kg in a snatch and ranked second, the Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation told Report.

The athlete lifted 147 kg in the clean and jerk and ranked fourth scoring 273 kg (126+147).

Nazila Ismayilova won three bronze medals earlier among the women athletes. 

Some 72 athletes from 16 countries are participating in the competitions, which will last until November 17.
