Azerbaijani worker dies after falling into elevator shaft in Türkiye PHOTO

In the Turkish city of Iğdır, two workers of Azerbaijani origin were injured after falling into an elevator shaft at a construction site.

According to Turkish media, the incident occurred in the Topçular district.

Preliminary reports indicate that the workers, Babek N. and Sanan F., sustained injuries after the fall. Emergency response teams from Türkiye’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) arrived at the scene.

The injured were rescued and taken to the city’s State Hospital. Despite doctors’ efforts, Babek N. succumbed to his severe injuries. The second victim remains under medical treatment.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
