Azerbaijani wrestler advances to U-17 World Championships final

Azerbaijani wrestler Abdurrahman Huseynli has reached the final of the U-17 World Championships in Baku.

Huseynli defeated Georgia's Saba Abashidze 9-3 in the 51 kg Greco-Roman wrestling semifinal, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

The Azerbaijani wrestler will compete for the world title on July 29.

Earlier in the tournament, Huseynli defeated Kuanyshbek Zhanazhol of Kazakhstan in the qualification round, Lies Boumaza of Algeria in the round of 16, and Gevorg Harutyunyan of Armenia 6-4 in the quarterfinals.
