Azerbaijani wrestlers claim four bronze medals at European Championships in Bucharest
Four more Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers have won bronze medals at the European Championships in the Romanian capital Bucharest.
Nuraddin Novruzov (61kg), Turan Bayramov (74kg), Arseniy Jioev (86kg) and Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125kg) won bronze medals on the last day of the competition, Caliber.Az reports.
Before that, Azerbaijani wrestlers won 12 medals (5 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze).
In the men's competition, Greco-Roman wrestlers Nihat Mammadli (60kg), Murad Mammadov (63kg) and Hasrat Jafarov (67kg) became European champions, Rashad Mammadov (55kg) and Ulvi Ganizada (72kg) became silver medallists, and Beka Kandelaki (130kg) took bronze. Among women wrestlers, Maria Stadnik (50 kg) and Alena Kolesnik (59 kg) defeated all their rivals, while Elis Manolova (65 kg) won a bronze medal.
