Baku F1 race sets new record with 16,000+ international visitors

The number of foreign tourists attending the 10th edition of the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku has reached a record high, surpassing 16,000, the Baku City Circuit Operations Company told local media.

This marks the highest number of international visitors recorded since Formula 1 races were first held in Azerbaijan’s capital.

The 2026 figure represents a notable increase from 2025, when the Azerbaijan Grand Prix attracted around 14,000 foreign visitors.

Growing international interest in the race has also been reflected in ticket sales. Fans from more than 120 countries have purchased tickets for the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, underscoring the event’s expanding global reach and appeal.

The 10th Formula 1 race weekend in Baku got underway on September 24 and will continue through September 26.
