Baku hosts Shooting World Cup opening ceremony
An opening ceremony for the Shooting World Cup took place in Baku on May 28.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Mariana Vasilyeva, Report informs.
Welcoming the guests, Vasilyeva expressed interest in shooting sports in the country and said that she was proud of the fact that this prestigious competition is held in Baku.
The deputy minister thanked the audience for being in Azerbaijan on May 28 - on Independence Day.
Azerbaijani Shooting Federation Secretary-General Emin Jafarov wished the participants success.
Speaking at the event, International Shooting Sports Federation President Vladimir Lisin stressed that the conduct of the World Cup in Azerbaijan is an indicator of the Azerbaijani president's attention and care for sports.
