Baku to host 2026 Swimming World Cup

Azerbaijan has signed an official agreement with World Aquatics to host the Swimming World Cup in 2026.

The Baku Aquatics Palace will host the Silk Way Swimming World Cup from October 1–3, 2026, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The document was signed by President of the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation Zaur Aliyev and President of World Aquatics Husain Al-Musallam, with Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov also attending the ceremony.

The first stage of the Silk Way World Cup will take place in Baku. The following stages will be held in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) on October 8–10 and in Astana (Kazakhstan) on October 15–17.
